Montreal, Canada – R2 has been awarded the contract to supply Arabian Chlor Vinyl Company with the latest release of EMOS® for safe and efficient operation of chlorine plants. Arabian Chlor Vinyl Company is a JV between Sahara Petrochemical Company and Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) to develop a state of the art chlor alkali complex in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia.
The contract includes the EMOS® Safety Package and R2’s newest advanced analysis tools including the Early Detection Engine (EDE). With the EMOS® Safety Package chlorine plants of all technology suppliers are reaching the highest possible safety level. The Early Detection Engine (EDE) adds a second layer of protection by detecting any abnormal behavior of cells in chlorine plants as early as possible even in case of miss operation in the periphery (bad brine quality etc.). Dramatic irreversible damage to cell components and the consequential production loss are prohibited.
Furthermore the precise determination of cell component performance and aging with EMOS® is the key to modern predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
