Montreal, Quebec – R2 is pleased to announce that it has received an order from Vinythai Public Company Limited to supply and install its SIL2 certified products for the EMOS® Safety System presently installed at their chlor-alkali production facility in Rayong, Thailand.
This installation will bring the SIL2 certified EMOS® Single Cell Voltage Monitoring System to an additional two production lines at Vinythai’s Rayong facility. This marks a a major milestone for the continued value and reliability that EMO® has brought to their operations since 2006. The upgrade will bring the number of electrolyser lines monitored with R2’s patented EMOS® SIL2 safety sytem to a total of 5 of Vinythai, Rayong’s 7 electrolyser lines.
R2’s EMOS® SIL2 Safety System, is the only electrolyser safety system available with a SIL2 rating. While monitoring over 35,000 elements in plants around the world, R2 was able to conduct an extensive Hazop Study. This study concluded that in order to provide complete electrolyser protection with a very low possibility of failure, SIL2 is necessary.
The EMOS SIL2 Safety System includes everything required to provide a plant with the highest level of safety available on the market.
The upgrade is currently scheduled for July, 2014.
