Montreal, QC, Canada – R2 announces today it has successfully completed the installation of EMOS® (Electrolyser Management and Optimization System) for electrochemical process monitoring of membrane technology electrolysers at the Qatar Vinyl Company’s chlor alkali facility at Mesaieed Industrial City approximately 40km south of Doha, Qatar.
EMOS®‘s high fidelity cell voltage data acquisition system combined with its advanced engineering and data analysis tools are providing QVC unparalleled visibility and reliability for electrolyser process monitoring. Beyond the basic alarm and safety functions, EMOS® is providing advanced electrolyser condition monitoring for qualitative insight into the operational performance of critical components, resulting in a precise, proactive approach to electrolyser maintenance and scheduling.
“In today’s marketplace, EMOS® offers electrochemical producers around the globe a viable solution to counter rising raw material and operational costs by empowering them with the benefits that come with a significant increase in process visibility and production efficiency.” said France Leduc, Director of Products and Project Management for R2.
Through years of collaboration with the world’s largest electrolytic corporations R2 has been able to develop and deliver EMOS®, the only condition monitoring and diagnostic system designed specifically for the chlor alkali industry. With numerous installations worldwide EMOS® is fast becoming the tool of choice to aid producers in increasing plant safety, reducing operating costs and to ensure that business objectives are realized.
