R2 announces today it has received an order to supply its proprietary technology EMOS® Safety System to monitor the performance of new membrane electrolyzers being installed at Coogee Chemicals Pty. Ltd.’s facilities in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia (Elite Chemicals) and Kwinana, Western Australia, Australia (Kwinana Chlor Alkali).
EMOS®’s patented single cell data acquisition hardware will be installed to provide real-time process information to chlor-alkali operators, allowing Coogee Chemicals to adopt proactive approaches to maximize the efficiency of electrolyser operations and maintenance through increased process visibility and the early detection and advanced warning of process anomalies.
“We are proud that EMOS® will be installed at the two facilities in Brisbane and Kwinana. EMOS® offers the required accuracy and interoperability capabilities to provide clear insights into the electrolysers performance, which will allow Coogee Chemicals to enhance plant safety programs, reduce operating costs, and meet their objectives.” said Line Maisonneuve, Director of Sales & Marketing for R2.
Coogee Chemicals is a diversified manufacturer of chemicals and Western Australia’s largest fuel terminal. Established in Kwinana in 1971 as a copper sulphate plant, the privately owned company is now present in a number of states, and has joint ventures within Australia and internationally.
